Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written to be read rather than to be impenetrable.
Effective date: 16 September 2026
1. Who we are
VeloraX Consulting ("VeloraX", "we", "us") is an information technology consultancy based in India. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through veloraxconsulting.in and in the course of our business relationships.
For any question about this policy or about how we handle your information, contact us at hello@veloraxconsulting.in.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and to run our business. Specifically:
- Information you give us: your name, email address, telephone number, company name and the content of your enquiry when you complete our contact form or email us.
- Information about your visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and referring site. This is collected in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
- Information arising from an engagement: contact details of the people we work with, and any material you share with us in the course of the work.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information for the purpose it was provided for, and not for unrelated purposes. In practice that means:
- Responding to your enquiry and any follow-up correspondence.
- Providing the services agreed in a contract with your organisation.
- Meeting legal, regulatory, tax and accounting obligations.
- Understanding and improving how our website performs.
4. Marketing
We do not add enquiries to a marketing mailing list. If we ever introduce a newsletter it will be opt-in, separate from the contact form, and every message will carry a working unsubscribe link.
5. Legal basis and consent
Where we rely on your consent — for example, when you submit the contact form — you may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us. Where we process information because it is necessary to perform a contract or to meet a legal obligation, we will say so if you ask.
We handle personal information in a manner consistent with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate — for example hosting, email and form-processing providers — and only to the extent needed for them to perform that service. We also disclose information where we are required to by law or by a court of competent jurisdiction.
Where a provider processes information outside India, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that appropriate protections are in place.
7. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and for a reasonable period afterwards, and no longer than is necessary for the purpose it was collected for. Records relating to a client engagement are retained for the period required by the contract and by applicable tax, accounting and legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
8. How we protect it
We apply reasonable technical and organisational security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption of data in transit, access controls on a least-privilege basis, multi-factor authentication on our own systems, and logging of access to systems that hold personal data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will act on it and notify affected individuals and authorities where we are required to do so.
9. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information about you we hold, and provide a copy of it.
- Correct information that is inaccurate, or complete information that is incomplete.
- Erase information where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
- Withdraw consent where our processing relies on consent.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
10. Making a request or a complaint
To exercise any of the rights above, or to raise a concern about how we have handled your information, write to us at hello@veloraxconsulting.in. We will acknowledge your request and respond within the period required by applicable law.
GRIEVANCE OFFICER — PLACEHOLDER: Indian law requires a named grievance officer with contact details published here. Insert the officer's name, designation, email address and postal address before this site goes live.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the relevant supervisory authority.
11. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only what is necessary for it to function. We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site profiling cookies.
If we later add analytics or any non-essential cookie, we will update this policy and seek consent where the law requires it, before setting it.
12. Children
Our website and services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention rather than relying on this page alone.
